Hapi Honey Garlic Sriracha Chicken

Ingredients:
8 chicken thighs
1 cup buttermilk
1 egg
1 tbsp black pepper
1 tbsp garlic salt
1 tbsp ginger
1 tbsp rice vinegar
1 tbsp brown sugar
1.5 cups flour
1/2 cup cornstarch
2 tbsp paprika
Sauce:
1/4 cup honey
1/2 cup sriracha
1/4 minced garlic
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 tbsp rice vinegar
1 tbsp sesame oil
1 tbsp mirin
2 tbsp brown sugar
Garnish:
Sesame Seeds
Parsley Flakes

Preheat oven to 400 F. In a medium bowl or pan whisk together buttermilk, egg, black pepper, garlic salt, ginger, rice vinegar and brown sugar. Add the chicken thighs and let soak for 10-15 minutes.

In another medium sized bowl whisk together cornstarch, flour and paprika. Grease a baking sheet with pan spray. Set the baking sheet near you. Coat the chicken thighs in the flour.

Bake chicken on top rack of oven for 25 minutes.

While the chicken is cooking, make the sauce. Whisk the honey, sriracha, garlic, soy sauce, rice vinegar, mirin and brown sugar together.

After the chicken has cooked for 20 minutes, turn down the heat to 375 F and bake for another 25 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165 F.

Remove chicken from oven. Add the honey garlic sauce. Cover chicken completely with sauce.

Let bake for 10 minutes. Then serve and get hapi!
