Football Pizza’s

Be the MVP of the big game with these delicious and easy Football Pizza’s. These are the perfect recipe for the big game, I mean what football fan doesn’t like pizza??? These are the perfect addition for your next Super Bowl party. I mean the snacks are the best part right? :)

Ingredients:
2 packages Pillsbury crescent rolls
6 packages of string cheese, cut into thirds
32 slices of pepperoni
1 can of tomato sauce
2 tablespoons of Italian seasoning
1 tablespoon crushed red pepper flakes
1 tablespoon granulated garlic

Preheat your oven to 375 F. Mix the canned tomato sauce, Italian seasoning, red pepper flakes and granulated garlic in a small bowl. This will be your dipping sauce and football laces. Now the dipping sauce is optional, some of my taste testers like it and others liked the pizza’s by themselves.

Unroll one package of crescent rolls. Place on a greased baking sheet. Wrap 2 pieces of pepperoni around a piece of the cut string cheese.

Place the seam side down of the pepperoni on to the crescent roll.

Now roll up the crescent roll like normal.

Instead of folding it into the crescent shape, cover the two ends with the excess dough.

Then do your best to shape into a football. Some are easier to shape than others. Once you are done, bake for 10 minutes on the lower rack of the oven.

Just when the tops are starting to get a little golden brown, remove from oven. Now is the time to “draw” the laces on. Using a butter knife, draw a line of sauce across the football.

Then add 2 or 3 lace’s depending on the size.

Then bake on the top rack of the oven for 4 more minutes.

Remove from the oven and let cool for 2-4 minutes before serving. Serve with or without the dipping sauce. Touchdown!
