Firewall Jalapeno Popper Stuffed Burgers

A firewall is a network security system that controls the incoming and outgoing network traffic. A firewall establishes a barrier between a trusted, secure internal network and another network (internet) that is assumed not to be secure and trusted. Most personal computer operating systems include software-based firewalls to protect against threats from the public Internet. Many routers that pass data between networks contain firewall components and, conversely, many firewalls can perform basic routing functions. So put up that firewall and secure this jalapeno popper stuffed burger for dinner tonight! Don’t forgot the garlic fries!

Ingredients:
3/4-1 lb ground beef per burger
8 oz cream cheese, softened
2 jalapenos, minced
1 cup shredded cheese ( I used a cheddar/ monterey jack mix)
1/2 lb bacon, cooked and chopped
seasoned salt
black pepper
liquid smoke (optional)
burger buns
burger toppings as desired

In a stand mixer, mix the cream cheese, jalapenos, bacon and cheddar cheese. Set aside.

Preheat oven to 350 F or a bbq. Using a burger press or your hands make a well in the middle of your burger.

Fill with a spoonful of jalapeno popper filling.

Cover filling with ground beef. Look at those giant patties! Make sure they are sealed really well!

Sprinkle the seasoning salt over the tops of the burgers.

If you are cooking them in the oven, add a few drops of liquid smoke to the pan. Trust me! Everyone will come running in for dinner! Let cook for 25-30 minutes depending on your desired doneness.

Let cool 5 minutes before serving.

Add desired toppings. I like to add more of the jalapeno mixture to the top of the burger and more bacon! Serve with desired sides. Garlic fries were my choice.
